So ChiC Event Planning and Design was birthed by Charlene Wyche and Chanetta McDougal.  For many years, Charlene decorated baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, retirement parties, cookouts, etc with the help of Chanetta to set up.  In 2020, the mother daughter duo realized after planning Chanetta's wedding, that the two create beautiful, "ChiC' events when they both work together in the planning process.  So many people who found out the wedding was planned by the two began to inquire about their services for their own weddings and other events.  In April of 2021, they officially jumped into event planning and landed their first wedding client, fully planning it from start to finish (including all vendors) in a matter of 3 months.

They both have different decor styles that work amazing together when merged.  Charlene is super classy and clean with table scapes and draping, while Chanetta loves to bring the drama with bling, lighting and romance.  They give each other balance and the result are "So ChiC".

So ChiC is based in central Virginia. We service Virginia, DC, Maryland, and North Carolina. Travel to other destinations available upon request.  Events outside of central Virginia require additional travel costs.
